Nebraska Pride Sports, founded in 2008, is a youth traveling program for basketball and volleyball athletes. Since its launch, over 300 athletes from Central and Western Nebraska compete regionally in tournaments across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, Texas, and South Dakota.
Nebraska Pride Sports provides a fun and competitive atmosphere for youth at all levels to improve their confidence, leadership skills, and athletic ability. We believe in teaching athletics proper fundamentals to enhance their skill levels to compete at the state and national level.
Nebraska Pride Sports is committed to the on and off the court development of your athlete. It is our mission to nurture our young athletes into hardworking, respectful, successful young adults. Our staff is committed to being the best role models, coaches, and mentors possible.
Darren and Lindin Tobey are the owners of Nebraska Pride Sports. Purchased in 2021 they have built a competitive and the largest traveling sports program outside of Lincoln and Omaha. Darren is currently the Superintendent at Broken Bow Public Schools. Prior to that, he coached and taught eight years at Brady Public Schools and Southern Valley Schools. He compiled a 123-70 record with four district championship appearances and a state championship appearance in 2010. Darren is also a board member of the Nebraska School Activities Association.
Maddie is a Graduate Assistant Coach for the nationally rank UNK Volleyball Team. She is a former collegiate setter who earned All-American honors playing for the Lopers, and played professionally for the ATSC Kelag Wildcats in Austria. In her first year coaching Pride Volleyball, she guided her 16s Gold Team to the national tournament in Chicago.
