Program Enrollment Info

2024 Basketball Program Info

Teams:  Teams will consist of grade levels 3rd-8th.  If we can't field a single team with a single grade, we will look to combine grades if necessary.

Practices:  Practices will be held at surrounding high schools in the Holdrege/Elm Creek//Brady areas.  Practice times will be 1.5 to 2 hours in length and will be held on Saturdays/Sundays starting October 7th/8th.  We ask that all players selected make a commitment to attend practices weekly.  We will have roughly 8-12 practice dates and 4 tournament dates for each team.

Coaches:  Pride will work to find coaches with experience and or current/former players.  We will also look to utilize local college students who are working towards a coaching degree as well as parents who like to help by coaching or helping coach a team.  If you have an individual that you feel would be a great addition to the Pride program as a coach, please let us know.

Program Cost: The Pride program cost per player is $515 for the Fall/Winter season.  This cost includes a uniform and warmup that the player will keep, tournament registration fees, gym rentals, coaches stipend, media guide, and administration fees.  You are only required to pay once you make a team.  The ability to pay via Venmo will also be available.  If you can use your summer uniform, the cost will be $475.

Food, Transportation, and Lodging:  The Pride program will always recommend lodging based on tournament locations and have a block of rooms available for the most economical price, but players and families are responsible for their own lodging as well as transportation to and from the tournament locations. Food will not be provided by the Pride program.

Practices:  Practices will be held at surrounding high schools near Kearney. Practice times will be 1.5 to 2 hours in length. Teams will practice two times a week. We ask that all players selected make a commitment to attend practices weekly.

Coaches: Pride will work to find coaches with experience and or current/former players. If you have an individual that you feel would be a great addition to the Pride program as a coach, please let us know.

Lessons: Pride coaches will offer lessons and clinics focusing on specific skills. They are not required by any of the Pride athletes, but they are a way to get extra practice and work with various coaches before the season starts.

Tournaments: 10s - 14s will compete in at least five tournaments locally throughout February, March, and April. 15s - 18s will compete in at least six tournaments locally, larger tournaments in Lincoln/Omaha, and at least one qualifier tournament.

Food, Transportation, and Lodging:  The Pride program will always recommend lodging based on tournament locations and have a block of rooms available for the most economical price.
